AGB 108 - Human Relations I

This course is designed to help the student prepare for employment and satisfactory work performance.  Students will learn the nature, purpose, and importance of human relations in an organizational setting. The student will be able to identify major developments in the workplace that have given new importance to human relations and identify some basic themes that serve as a foundation for effective human relations. This course will provide skills in building coworker relations, employer-employee relations, and appropriate work habits and attitudes.

SLOs:
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Recognize human relations as an integral part of career success.

  • Identify methods to improve personal and organizational communications. 

  • Analyze personal self-esteem, values, and attitudes.

  • Demonstrate methods to influence personal and others’ motivation.
