ADM 936 - Occupational Experience

This course is designed to provide students with the opportunity to receive practical office-related work experience through on-the-job training. While at work, students apply knowledge and skills learned in the classroom to complete the tasks and responsibilities of their positions. Students are guided by the coordinated efforts of the employer and the occupational experience coordinator.

Prerequisite(s): Complete approximately half of the credit hours required for graduation in the degree program or consent of instructor. Minimum Grade Point Average of 2.0.

Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

Identify his or her own career goals and recognize related career opportunities that are available.
Demonstrate the ability to select and secure an office-related position that meets stated career objectives.
Demonstrate competence in meeting the job performance standards required by the employer.
Demonstrate punctuality and attention to detail by completing all reports, documentation, and evaluations required by the college or the employer accurately and on time.
