Responsibilities of EICC


Eastern Iowa Community Colleges (EICC) will:

  • Ensure courses taught by College Connections Instructors (CCI) meet accreditation standards.
  • Provide the EICC curriculum and Course Development Models.
  • Provide a Faculty Liaison to assist CCI with course standards and teaching matters.
  • Serve as the Registrar to establish and maintain student college credit records and transcripts.
  • Make required textbooks and supplies available for purchase through the college bookstore.
  • Provide orientation information for the enrolled students and parents.
  • Ensure adherence to the National Alliance for Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP) standards for academic quality and rigor.
  • Abide by the Principles of Best Practice for Concurrent Enrollment (Appendix A of the MOA).
  • Provide billing for each term.
  • Provide appropriate faculty orientation for including curriculum, learning outcomes, assessment, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the high school to share prospective CCI qualifications, resume, transcripts, credentials, and background check materials.
  • Host the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) for concurrent courses and provide regular training for instructors.
  • Uphold the EICC college-level assessment standards for reading, English, and mathematics.
