Industrial Technology

Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning

This program provides all of the skills necessary to gain meaningful employment as an entry-level Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) technician. Students obtain extensive hands-on experience in the repair, maintenance, and installation of a wide variety of heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilation systems. The Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning program is accredited by HVAC Excellence.

CNC Machining

This program prepares students for a high-end industrial technology job in CNC Programming or CAD/CAM technology. Learning is hands-on in the modern laboratory furnished with the same types of equipment used by local manufacturing plants.

Engineering Technology

This program prepares highly skilled workers for area manufacturers. Students begin by taking an identical set of courses for the first four terms. For the fifth and final term, students will take a series courses in one of three concentration areas - Automation Concentration, Electromechanical Concentration or Process Control Concentration.

Supply Chain and Logistics

This program is designed for individuals wishing to enter the job market with the skills to perform a variety of job functions in the logistics and supply chain field. Supply Chain professionals are responsible for the entire life cycle of a product, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery and final disposal of resources. Graduates work in the logistics field incorporating such tasks as transportation, warehousing, inventory control, purchasing, scheduling, safety, management, electronic data interchange, order processing, traffic management, security, packaging, and location site analysis.

Renewable Energy Systems Specialist

This program is designed to train individuals who wish to enter the job market with the skills to perform a variety of job functions in the renewable energy field. Renewable Energy Systems Specialists are responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar systems and wind turbines.  The renewable energy field includes the electrical production industry, the bio-fuels industry, and the renewable energy equipment manufacturing sectors.

Technical Studies

You have skills, knowledge and abilities gained from prior coursework, years on the job, participation in an apprenticeship, industry certification, or on-the-job training programs. Those skills, knowledge and abilities can be evaluated along with any prior credit courses and, if they meet the criteria, credits can be awarded toward completion of a degree in Technical Studies.

Welding

This provides options in a range of industrial welding techniques: ARC, MIG, TIG, core wire, and gas. The welding lab is equipped to provide each student with hands-on learning opportunities, with instructors present and available for guidance. Courses are offered in an eight-week format with flexible schedule of attendance during the day or evening.
