Paramedic, Diploma

Campus: Clinton, Muscatine, and Scott Community Colleges

The Paramedic diploma program prepare students for successful completion of the National Registry Paramedic Psychomotor and Cognitive Examinations. With passing results, the student will then be eligible to receive a State of Iowa, Paramedic certification. The Paramedic is the highest trained pre-hospital care provider in the State of Iowa. 

The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) programs are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) upon the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP).

This is an advanced standing award. Students must possess a current Iowa Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification for admission consideration. The application process and admission requirements for the Paramedic Diploma can be found at https://eicc.edu/future-students/our-programs/ems/
