Industrial Hemp Production, Diploma

Campus: Muscatine Community College

This program focuses on the greenhouse and agronomic production of the hemp plant. The program introduces students to the topics of growing, processing, and legal requirements of industrial hemp production. Agricultural management and horticultural topics are emphasized through highly technical coursework based on industry standards.

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the Industrial Hemp Production program, students will be able to:

  1. Apply personal and technical skills in the hemp industry.
  2. Operate and maintain equipment currently used in the hemp industry.
  3. Demonstrate growing techniques used in the hemp industry.
  4. Demonstrate processing techniques for hemp fiber, seed, and cannabinoids.
