Radiologic Technology, AAS

The Radiologic Technology program prepares students to maintain and use the equipment and supplies necessary to demonstrate portions of the human body utilizing x-ray images for diagnostic purposes. X-ray technologists use radiation to make images of the body to aid radiologists in diagnosing a patient’s illness or injury.

The Radiologic Technology program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).

In addition to the general admission requirements of the college, applicants to this program must meet specific program admission criteria. The application process and admission requirements for the Radiologic Technology program can be found at www.eicc.edu/radiology.

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the Radiologic Technology program, students will be able to:

  1. Provide radiation safety for self and patients.  
  2. Produce diagnostic quality radiographic images consistently. 
  3. Properly critique images for diagnostic quality. 
  4. Utilize critical thinking skills to adapt for non-routine patients/exams. 
  5. Demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills in the clinical setting. 
  6. Demonstrate professionalism and medical ethics in the clinical setting. 
  7. Pass the American Registry of Radiologic Technology certification examination.
