Database Developers create and/or maintain database software components by either developing new applications, maintaining existing ones, or converting existing applications to run in a database environment using query and programming languages such as SQL, PL/SQL, ADO and Java among other resources. They create resources for data input and retrieval with a concern on maintaining data integrity and security, working closely with the database administrator, and in some cases, they perform tasks related to database design and administration.
