SP 510 - Tuition Refunds

Students who withdraw from Eastern Iowa Community College District and complete the necessary withdrawal process shall be entitled to a refund of tuition and mandatory fees according to the following schedule:

Prior to the end of the tenth day of the semester: 100% refund of tuition and fees (Summer or Short-Term Session - fifth day of classes).

The same refund policy shall apply for individual courses that are dropped through the proper procedures. The amount of the refund will be the appropriate percentage between the tuition charge for the new load and the amount charged for the original load.

Certain Title IV recipients will be refunded according to federal regulations.

Continuing Education Refund Policy

Refund policies may vary according to class type. Our standard refund policy requires that we be notified at least three (3) business days prior to the class start date in order to qualify for a refund. Refunds for checks are given after the check has cleared. Refunds for checks or cash may take up to three weeks.
