RAD 123 - Radiographic Procedures I 5.00 Credit(s)
In this course, students will learn patient positioning and procedures performed in the radiology department. Procedures to be studied and simulated in the energized laboratory are chest, abdomen, upper and lower extremities, shoulder and proximal digestive system. Preparation, precautions, and administration of digestive contrast media will be introduced. Radiographic critique will be integrated throughout the course. 79.2 Lec. Hrs. / 39.6 Lab Hrs.
Prerequisite(s): A minimum grade of C in BIO 168 , BIO 173 , HSC 113 , and
A minimum grade of C in MAT 110 or HSC 137 or MAT 156 , and
A minimum grade of C in PSY 111 or SOC 110 , and
A minimum grade of C in SPC 112 or ENG 105 .
