This course is designed to acquaint the student with the field of computer forensics, investigation tools, and techniques. Students will explore the set up of an investigator’s office and laboratory, as well as examine what computer forensic hardware and software is available. Topics covered include procedures for identification, preservation, and extraction of electronic evidence, auditing and investigation of network and host intrusions and forensic tools. 39.6 Lec.
