This course is an in-depth examination of the microbial world, with emphasis on classification, reproduction, genetics, physiology, infectious disease, and control. Laboratory exercises will be directed toward the use of equipment and identification of clinically and economically important organisms. 59.4 Lec. Hrs. / 39.6 Lab Hrs. This course satisfies a general education requirement in the Natural Sciences Area.
