HIS 118 - Western Civilization II: Early Modern Credit(s) 3.00 Lecture Hours: 3.00 This is a survey course in Western Civilization from the Renaissance through the Age of Democratic Revolutions. The civilizational components of religion, philosophy, literature, art, science, and architecture are integrated into the political and social history of Europe, from about 1450 to the end of the eighteenth century. This course satisfies a general education requirement in the Cultural/Historical Perspectives Area.
