This course introduces students to the methods and mechanics of the sterilization process. The course covers the technician’s role in the surgery room as well as patient preparation, sterile techniques, surgical instrument identification, pack preparation, and surgical nursing care.

Prerequisite(s): A minimum grade of C in AGV 134, AGV 140, AGV 232, and AGV 248
