ADI 111 - Sonography Principles & Instrumentation I Credit(s) 2.00 Lecture Hours: 2.00 This course familiarizes students with the basic physical principles governing medical ultrasound equipment and its use. This course initially examines the history and development of Diagnostic Medical Sonography as a modality. Emphasis is placed on the properties of acoustic waves and their behavior as they propagate and encounter human tissue.
