The Engineering Technology Diploma provides students with a solid foundation in core technical skills essential for modern manufacturing and industrial environments. This program is designed for individuals seeking entry-level positions in engineering technology or planning to advance into specialized degree programs in Industrial Maintenance or Automation and Robotics.

 

Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)

Upon completion of the program in Engineering Technology, students will be able to: 

  1. Exhibit safe working practices in laboratory and industrial environments.
  2. Properly use tools and electrical test equipment to verify correct installation and operation of electrical and mechanical systems.
  3. Identify faulty components and sub-systems in order to return to apparatus to proper operation.
  4. Interpret technical documents to aid in the installation and troubleshooting of electical and mechanical systems.
  5. Effectively communicate technical information in oral and written formats common in industry.
  6. Demonstrate time management and reliability traits that will enhance performance in the workplace.
