Cancer Information Management, Diploma

Cancer Information Management (CIM) Diploma is an online program. This diploma program requires 47 credit hours of course work. Please note that students will be required to complete 160 hours of practical experience
with a Certified Tumor Registrar at a Cancer Registry site. Qualification for the diploma program requires a minimum of an AAS or higher degree in any program.

The CIM program provides instruction to work in the field of Cancer Information Management within cancer centers, hospitals, government agencies, and pharmaceutical companies. CIM workers manage, analyze, and maintain clinical cancer information databases that are used in research, quality management, facility planning, program development, and compliance.

The CIM program meets the formal requirements established by the National Cancer Registrar’s Association (NCRA) and has been awarded full accreditation from the NCRA. Students completing the program are eligible to sit for the Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) Exam.

The Cancer Information Management program is accredited by the National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA).
