Prerequisite(s): and SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Calculate reactive circuit values using Pythagorean Theorem and trigonometry functions.
- Explain and demonstrate the use of a scope to measure voltage, frequency and phase shift in an AC circuit.
- Explain the concepts of inductance and inductive reactance, capacitance, capacitive reactance in AC circuits.
- Apply circuit analysis methods for AC circuits containing resistive devices, capacitors, and inductors using Ohm’s Law, Watt’s Law, and Kirchoff’s Law.
- Identify common component symbols and explain the functions of common electronic components.
