Art, architecture, music, literature, and drama are presented as they reflect the world view of each historical era. No This course satisfies a general education requirement in the Arts and Humanities Area.

SLOs:
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

Identify key aspects of humanities studies.
Analyze humanities artifacts to understand what they say about the human experience.
Compare and contrast cultural worldviews in a chronological framework.
Critique the development of the Western value of humanism, and humanism’s view of the worth, rights, and capabilities of the individual.
