This course is the study of the application of wildlife ecology and management techniques, censuring, capture and marking of wildlife, habitat evaluation, habitat restoration, Iowa game laws, life history studies, and the application of wildlife management principles as they relate to important ecological and recreational resources. SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Develop foundational knowledge of regional wildlife and their importance related to ecology and society.
- Describe the biology, management, and population ecology of selected wildlife species and groups.
- Develop decision making skills related to conservation and management of ecosystems and the wildlife that inhabit them.
