The course covers automotive emissions, emission control devices, and 5-gas analysis. This course is designed to help the student improve their ability to diagnose drivability problems. Diagnosis and testing will be discussed and practiced. A review of fuel, ignition, and computer system testing will also be included. No

- Demonstrate knowledge of tailpipe emissions.
- Demonstrate knowledge of emission control devices.
- Demonstrate knowledge of On Board Diagnostic II (OBD II) system operation.
- Develop a basic drivability diagnostic routine.
- Use a troubleshooting guide or chart.
- Demonstrate advanced drivability diagnostic skills.
