AUT 103 - Survey of Auto Technology Credit(s) 1.50 Lab Hours: 4.50 This course is designed to introduce the student to a variety of tasks and skills commonly used in the automotive technology repair field. Topics will include basic maintenance and electrical service; engine performance service; brake, tire, and wheel service; and gasoline engine operation and repair.
Corequisite(s): AUT 115 SLOs: Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:-
Demonstrate a basic knowledge of automotive systems.

Perform basic electrical and mechanical maintenance service on cars and light trucks.

Demonstrate an understanding of gasoline engine operation and repair.

Perform a basic fuel system inspection.

Demonstrate an understanding of manual transmission operation and service.

Perform basic brake system service.

Perform basic tire and wheel service.
