This course emphasizes the economics of machinery selection and use. Management decisions concerning size of machine, purchasing, and operation of major farm machines will also be topics for class consideration.

SLOs:
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

Select the proper machines to best fit their individual operations in light of machinery performance and economics.
Calculate field capacity, material capacity, brake horsepower, PTO horsepower, drawbar horsepower, and grain loss.
Demonstrate sprayer calibration.
