A 22 - Compensation of Classifies Employees Temporarily Performing Additional Duties


A request for a salary adjustment of classified employees who temporarily perform some or all of the duties of a vacant position will be considered if the following guidelines are met:

  1. The request is submitted upon the recommendation of the employee’s supervisor.
  2. The additional duties must be assumed for a minimum of eight (8) weeks.
  3. A written description of the additional duties must be submitted. The vacant position job description should serve as a guide.
  4. The additional duties must involve a higher level of responsibility than those of the current position held by the employee.

The request will be evaluated by the Director of Human Resources, CFO or designee, and a recommendation made to the Chancellor. The Chancellor will have final approval and any approved additional compensation will be reported to the Board of Trustees.
