A 15 - Staff Classification System & Wage Schedule

The Eastern Iowa Community Colleges utilizes a job classification system which places all support staff positions in one of nine levels and professional/administrative staff positions in one of six levels. The job classification system is based on a careful evaluation of the tasks, duties, activities, and responsibilities of each staff employee who works for the District. This is designed to help insure that EICCD treats employees objectively and equitably on matters of job classification and salary.

All new positions are evaluated and existing positions will be considered for reclassification upon the request of the supervisor. Relevant information is reviewed by the Director of Human Resources and a decision will be made for the classification. The Human Resource classification may be appealed to the Chancellor.
