PE 447 - Emeritus Status The Board of Trustees has established Emeritus Status as a special honor for deserving faculty and staff. Emeritus Status is intended to recognize retiring faculty and staff who have served Eastern Iowa Community College District (EICCD), its students and communities in exemplary and meritorious fashion.
A nomination and selection process shall be used to determine candidates for recognition who exemplify EICCD’s culture of high aspirations and high expectations. Recommendations shall come from the Emeritus Status Review Committee to the Chancellor, who shall then recommend candidates for Emeritus Status to the Board of Trustees. Emeritus Status shall be conferred by the Board of Trustees.
Emeritus Status is intended as a high honor for outstanding employees; it involves no remuneration or employment standing.
