PE 430 - Definitions


Employment status for employees not covered by a collective bargaining agreement will be established at the time of employment and is defined as follows:

(FT) Full-time – One who is employed 30 hours or more per week and who is hired with the expectation of working a 12 month contract.

(ST) Full-time shortened contract - One who is employed 30 hours or more per week and who is hired with the expectation of working less than a 12 month contract.

(PT) Part-time – One who is employed twenty (20) hours a week but less than thirty (30) hours a week and who is hired with the expectation of working for more than two quarters.

(-19) Part-time less than 20- One who is employed for less than twenty (20) hours per week and who is hired with the expectation of working for more than two quarters.

(PT) Retirement*, - prorated paid leave -

(-19) Retirement*


* Must meet guidelines set up by IPERS or TIAA to be eligible for retirement benefits.
