PE 404 - Contracts


Contracts with professional personnel holding full-time positions for whom either licensure by the Higher Learning Commission and/or the appropriate accrediting body or adherence to the Eastern Iowa Community College District Quality Faculty Plan is required, shall be in writing and shall state the length of the time the contract is in force.

Contracts with full-time administrative personnel for whom licensure is not a requirement shall be in writing, and shall not exceed one year in duration, except for the Executive Officer.

Such contracts shall be approved by the Board, signed by the Board President and filed with the Secretary of the Board.

A newly hired employee shall serve a probationary period of ninety (90) days .

Probationary employees may be disciplined, demoted or terminated during the probationary period without right of appeal. Upon satisfactory completion of the probationary period and performance review, the employee is entitled to all rights and privileges granted to full-time employees.
