AGA 232 - CBD Post Harvest

This course will explore post-harvest processing of hemp plants and CBD product development. Course time will be dedicated to different extraction methods such as CO₂ and alcohol extraction. Students will examine different products that can be made with CBD after the extraction process.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

Compare ethanol and CO₂ extraction techniques.
Assess a crop’s viability to be processed.
Integrate CBD oil into new products.
Experiment with different lab techniques in order to maximize extraction results.
Identify the difference between isolates, distillates, and crystallites.
