LIT 161 - The Short Story Credit(s) 3.00 Lecture Hours: 3.00 This course explores the short story and novella as meaningful literary forms, with emphasis on structure and technique. Students will be introduced to the elements of fiction, various literary genres, and their cultural and historical contexts. Students will be expected to analyze fiction critically in class discussions and through formal and informal writings. This is not a creative writing course.
Prerequisite(s): ENG 105
