This course is designed for basic maintenance of horticulture equipment. Major topics will include safety, tools, troubleshooting, and other repairs to the equipment used in the horticulture industry.

SLOs:
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Display understanding of the differences and similarities of 2-cycle and 4-cycle engines.

  • Demonstrate common preventative and corrective maintenance techniques for horticulture equipment.

  • Demonstrate repairs and use basic equipment in the horticulture industry.

  • Display understanding of the operation of basic hydraulic units.
