WEL 365 - Flux Core Arc Welding & Metal Cutting

This course provides training to develop the skills on carbon steel using Flux Core wire in all positions on fillet and groove welds. Training is also provided on metal cutting using oxyacetylene and plasma.

SLOs:
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate safe practices in the Flux cored arc welding process and metal cutting process.
  • Produce entry-level welding skills in the flux cored arc welding process on mild steel in multiple positions demonstrating different techniques.
  • Produce entry-level cutting skills with plasma and oxyacetylene cutting process on mild steel.
