AGB 336 - Agricultural Selling

This course teaches principles of selling with application to agricultural and food related businesses. In this course, students will review attitudes, value systems, and behavioral patterns that relate to agricultural sales and customer buying behaviors. Students will implement marketing and selling strategies and prepare for sales calls. Students will demonstrate sales presentations, handle objections, and close sales, while also analyzing the buying or purchasing process and evaluating the agri-selling profession.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Compare psychological and social aspects of human buying behavior.

  • Demonstrate the sales process.

  • Model appropriate sales professionalism and ethics.

  • Demonstrate effective communication styles.
