SOC 928 - Independent Study

This course provides students with an opportunity to complete readings, conduct research, or produce a project under the guidance of a faculty member. Specific course content and assignments will be designed to meet the needs of the individual student. This course can be repeated for credit.

SLOs:
Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate progress in learning and using analytical or creative techniques at weekly meetings.

  • Select appropriate resources to complete required assignments.

  • Utilize appropriate resources to complete required assignments.

  • Demonstrate progress in acquiring in-depth understanding of appropriate topics.

  • Apply contemporary theories related to subject matter.
