This course is designed for basic maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems of horticulture equipment. Major topics will include safety, tools, small engine maintenance (both 2-cycle and 4-cycle), trouble shooting, and other equipment used in the horticulture industry.

SLOs:
Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

  • Understand and repair small 2-cycle and 4-cycle engines.

  • Understand and repair basic hydraulic units.

  • Understand and be able to test basic electrical systems.

  • Repair and use basic equipment in the horticulture industry.
