Digital Modeling and Additive Manufacturing, Diploma

Campus: Scott Community College

The Digital Modeling and Additive Manufacturing diploma prepares graduates with certificate awards in both Digital Modeling for Manufacturing and Additive Manufacturing. Computer-aided design (CAD), critical thinking, problem-solving, math, science, team building and communication, critical skills needed for today’s manufacturing jobs, are the focus of this program.

The Digital Modeling for Manufacturing and Additive Manufacturing diploma includes proficiencies required by the industry that apply directly to the world of work.

Students who earn this diploma may earn an AAS degree in Technical Studies by completing additional coursework.

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the Additive Manufacturing with 3-D Modeling program, students will be able to:

  1. Create 3-dimensional objects accurately, using industry-standard mechanical design software.
  2. Demonstrate an understanding of subtractive manufacturing processes.
  3. Analyze additive manufacturing processes.
  4. Create physical objects using additive manufacturing processes.
