A commitment to public safety, well-being, and individual rights are the foundations of a career in criminal justice.

The certificate award in Criminal Justice has been designed to provide an introductory education that begins an exploration of criminal justice jobs, ethics in criminal justice, the dynamics of crime and society, government, the social sciences, and liberal arts/humanities. Educational credentials vary greatly among different departments and agencies. The award of a certificate is likely to improve prospects to gain entry-level positions in criminal justice professions.
