SUR 110 - Introduction to Surgical Technology 5.00 Credit(s)
This course provides an introduction to the knowledge and skills required for surgical technologies including principles of sterile techniques, the operative care of the surgical patient, and the roles of scrubbing and circulating duties. Application of surgical fundamentals is demonstrated. Theory is correlated to practice by requiring students to participate as members of a surgical team in laboratory simulations. 59.4 Lec. Prerequisite(s): CSC 110 and a minimum grade of C in BIO 168 , BIO 173 , BIO 186 , ENG 105 , HSC 113 , MAT 110 or HSC 137 , and PSY 111
