This course is an introduction to the concepts of medical law and ethics for allied health care practitioners. Topics including criminal and civil acts, contracts, negligence and ethical concepts as they relate to the medical profession, health information management, Health Insurance & Portability Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other health care legislative rulings are discussed. 59.4 Lec.
