This course introduces students to the nursing process in the perioperative management of clients, the nursing management of individuals with nutrition and metabolic alterations, and the nursing management of individuals with activity and exercise alterations. Emphasis will be placed on adaptation to common stressors, the resultant health-illness responses and the transformation of caring into therapeutic nursing interventions.
