This course covers maintenance, compilation, analysis and presentation of health care statistics. Topics include basic statistical principles, morbidity, mortality, and commonly computed hospital rates; uniform reporting requirements; and selection and construction of data displays. Upon completion, students should be able to calculate morbidity, mortality, and commonly computed hospital rates, comply with uniform reporting requirements, analyze and present statistical data. 59.4 Lec.
