This course will explore methods and techniques for the design and assembly of three- dimensional product packages and defines the role of packaging in product identification, presentation, and production. The unique challenges of adapting typography, illustration, design and materials to three-dimensional forms are explored. A combination of traditional hands-on skills such as straight edges, drafting, illustration, drawing and digital skills tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign will be necessary to complete most projects. 39.6 Lec.
