The Augmented and Virtual Reality (AVR) Academy will prepare students to pursue a career in AVR development. As AVR technology grows and becomes more relative in our everyday lives, industries will be searching for individuals who have the skills to develop these applications from the ground up. Students enrolled in this academy will be given a unique hands-on experience working with industry professionals and real client projects.

Data Analytics

Data analytics is the science of interpreting vast amounts of complex data to make sound decisions. A data analyst’s role is to help companies make better business decisions. In this Data Analytics program, you will learn analytics tools and techniques, how to work with databases, the languages of R and SPSS, how to create data visualizations, and how to apply statistics and predictive analytics in a business environment.

Networking for Systems and Security

This program provides students with fundamental skills in planning, installing, and maintaining organizations’ computer networks. Students will learn to troubleshoot both hardware and software, analyze problems, provide support for users, and monitor network resources. Students completing the program will have the knowledge to earn industry-recognized certifications. Graduates will be prepared for work as network, helpdesk, and security technicians.

Programming

Computer programmers write code that instructs computers to perform tasks that meet businesses or individual needs for daily management, administration or performance of jobs. In this program, students will learn to write code to create software programs that target specific needs of businesses or individuals using computer languages such as Visual Basic, C# and Java.

Web Development

Web Design and Developers design and create, update and maintain web pages and full websites using web development and scripting languages. They are also responsible for the look of the site and for the site’s technical aspects, such as performance and capacity, which are measures of a website’s speed and how much traffic the site can handle. They may also create content for the web site and, in smaller businesses, create graphics and manage the web servers.
